  1. This is Version 4 of the JPEG software.  It was compiled with the
  2. registered DICE release and the BMake make utility.  It has no
  3. modifications from the original JPEG source.  It does not support
  4. direct IFF output or input; however, there are a few utilities 
  5. included that will help you convert betweem IFF and PPM in both 24
  6. bit and HAM.

  8. All files included in this archive are freely redistributable.

  10. ILBMtoPPM and PPMtoILBM are included from the PBMPlus utilities written
  11. by Jef Poskanzer.

  15. be used to hold temporary files.  If you don't normally assign T:, you 
  16. may need to do so.  The JPEG binaries have been tested on 2.0 on an Amiga
  17. 3000.
